FAQs & Booking

What ages and grades do you work with?
I work primarily with students in grades 4–8, generally ages 9–14, though I've taught students as young as 5 in the classroom.

What kinds of learning differences do you support?
I have experience with a wide range of neuro-profiles, including ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and dysgraphia. My core strength is helping students organize their thinking, chunk writing tasks, and stay focused, especially students who get overwhelmed or dysregulated by abstract or open-ended assignments. I also work to help students build academic self-esteem through positive experiences with writing.

Do you offer phonics-based reading instruction?
My background is in classroom literacy instruction rather than specialized phonics intervention. If your student needs a structured phonics program, I'm happy to help you think through whether I'm the right fit, or refer you to a specialist.

How often do sessions happen?
Session frequency is tailored to your student's needs, though typically weekly. We can talk through what makes sense during your free consultation.

Can you work with my child's school, therapist, or learning specialist?
Yes. When it's helpful, I collaborate with occupational therapists, learning specialists, classroom teachers, and other members of a student's team so support stays consistent.

What happens in the free 30-minute session?
I'll bring a writing activity or look over a current school writing project with your student. It's a low-pressure way for us to get to know each other and for me to see how your student thinks and works.

Is there any obligation after the free session?
No. It's simply a chance to see if we're a good fit before deciding on regular sessions.
